"Community Season 2" comes with multiple ugly subtitles this time: with on black boder English caption subtitles, and bright yellow Sony English subtitles... I really don't know why Sony can't do white like they have on their Blu-rays.

Paramount is releasing Quentin Tarantino's episode of CSI on Blu-ray (Surprised we don't actually have a Tarantino thread to put this in...)

Yes. I haven't seen it since it aired, but I still remember the rather amusing complications the episode kept piling on

Is anything less functional than the forum's search function?

Good news for those who haven't already bit the bullet: HBO's repackaged the Wire: Complete Series in normal keepcases:

You mean I don't have to awkwardly make space for it on top of the DVD rack along with my Mel Brooks Blu-ray collection and I Love Lucy complete series set?!

Is that this listing? It has the later release date but the customer photos look like the original release.

Nice packaging. Hope they do the same for the Six Feet Under set.

Is the repackaged version of The Wire already OOP or something? Amazon is out of stock (and while they had dwindling stock, there was no indication that there was "more on the way").

check out the screwed up "The Invisible Man" TV series on DVDBeaver, with the squished ratio on the first episode, the cropping on the later ones, no lossless audio, squeezing the entire 11 hours on 1 disc...

Not that I'd have any interest in watching this series again (cropped or not), but I've never forgotten the hilarious image of an "unconscious" Ross Martin being walked out of a room by the invisible one - a great bit of physical acting.

Not a fan of the show, but that SRP strikes me as very reasonable! Hopefully it'll be a precident.

Yeah, I've already got the majority of Seinfeld on DVD and I'd have a hard not leaping at a complete series run on blu for $150 or so (which is what I assume the Friends SRP will mean.)

Apparently the Friends release will only feature broadcast episodes, differing from the original DVD releases which had longer cuts

In the UK, I think the first DVD releases were the broadcast versions, and then they came out with a 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition (40-disc box set) which had the extended episodes, etc. I picked one up from my local Tesco supermarket, as a blind buy, for £20 ($31) in November 2010. I won't be upgrading to blu-ray.
