Confirmed as a 2 December release:
Betrayed (1988): Costa-Gavras’s edge of your seat thriller sees an FBI agent infiltrates a dangerous white supremacist movement connected to a brutal murder. Starring Debra Winger and Tom Berenger and from the writer of Basic Instinct and Jagged Edge, Joe Eszterhas, the film will be released by the BFI on Blu-ray.

After a Jewish radio host is murdered, FBI agent Cathy Weaver (Debra Winger) is sent undercover to infiltrate a close-knit farming community believed to be harbouring the men responsible. She soon meets and falls for local farmer Gary Simmons (Tom Berenger) a well-respected Vietnam veteran, but it’s not long before her suspicions are aroused. Realising that Simmons is leading a double-life as the leader of a white supremacist group, responsible for a series of brutal crimes, Agent Weaver must decide where her loyalties lie, with the man she loves or the country she swore to protect.

Directed by Costa-Gavras (Missing) and written by Joe Eszterhas (Basic Instinct, Jagged Edge), Betrayed is an edge of your seat thriller with an excellent supporting cast including John Heard, John Mahoney and Betsy Blair.

Amazing-I was just watching a DVR recording of this last night. Now I know how you folks feel regarding synchronicity after buying a title and having a re-release announced!

Anyway, I was really stunned by much of this film. It's a really disquieting work that echoed Silence of the Lambs a little bit with its
lone female F.B.I. agent used as bait and continually having to prove her worth. There are some amazingly prescient scenes with Tom Berenger
connecting with other white nationalists through online usenet boards, and I love its equally redemptive and totally anguished look at how deeply
ingrained bigotry is in some American communities. Beautifully shot and directed as well.
