The MoC Series made me discover so much movies and directors that I can't even BEGIN to thank Nick and the rest of the team for that. Hands down the best label in the industry, better than Criterion as far as I'm concerned. Good luck and thanks for all the movies!

From Nick's twitter (thanks for all the hard work!)
Just finished a new MoC sleeve design for a film that begins with "C".

Italian silent cinema is awfully served by DVD/Blu-ray. There's, what, a grand total of two films in good condition with original language intertitles?

Sorry to be late about this, but I've only just noticed the news of Nick leaving and I'd like to echo the appreciation for the wonderful work he's done in bringing a fantastic range of films to public awareness in marvellous editions.

The standard of customer service has been excellent as well. The box for my copy of the Naruse set was badly damaged in the post so I e-mailed MoC and got a new box sent by post, carefully packaged, within a couple of days. The cover of the book in my copy of Colossal Youth was torn and again I got a replacement by return of post. You can't beat that.

I hope that the label continues with the same quality as before and that Nick enjoys whatever he does next.

Cabiria would indeed be wonderful; it'd make a good companion-piece to The Birth of a Nation, given how awed and deeply influenced Griffith was by Pastrone's film. (And I think he discovered Joseph Carl Breil, who composed the score for Birth, when he was conducting a score to Cabiria.) The fact that the three-hour version remains unavailable is criminal. It's simply one of the most brilliant, important films of all time.

Cabiria would be an amazing addition to the MoC series, I seem to remember that there is one silent film that's due out this year that hasn't been announced yet, so could it possibly be this one? Must not let myself get too excited though, there's a lot of films beginning with C.

Everything we have confirmed so far for the near future is silent (Die Nibelungen, Passion of Joan of Arc, Birth of a Nation), which is awesome. The more the merrier if it's Cabiria!

Since Nick Wrigley is leaving, if there's a job opening, where do I send my resume?

I'd love for it to be A City of Sadness (or Cabiria for that matter) but I'd bet on Cat People. It's an RKO title which I believe Universal have the UK rights to and it's pretty well known. Don't think it's had a UK DVD release either.

...Or A Countess from Hong Kong?
