Ah, they've raised some of the prices on their store (the Keaton set is now at £34, up from £29 as a pre-order; the upcoming releases are listed at £17/18 rather than the usual £15). Cuts into what I'd been thinking. Still a good deal, maybe not a great one though.

The Montage or Classics movies seem at a good price. Many of those I've checked are at £12.99, which certainly is OK compared to Amazon current prices, especially with free shipping.

Eureka weekend sale, ending midday Monday 26 Feb.

Creepy (Masters of Cinema) at £6.99 is probably the highlight.

I managed to cross a few titles off my wants list. I ordered Cover Girl, Creepy, The Friends of Eddie Coyle, Journey to the Shore, Kes, The Blue Lagoon, Cocoon and Enemy Mine. Journey to the Shore is the only blind buy. TBH, The Blue Lagoon wasn't on my wants list, but the beaver and blu-ray.com reviews persuaded me to upgrade.

I liked Journey to the Shore a LOT more than Creepy. ;-)

I've yet to see the latter, but finally watched Journey recently, and really liked it. Stylistically, it was interesting how it melded together his recent naturalistic approach with that of his mid-career films like Charisma & Retribution.
SpoilerShow
The intrusions of the supernatural were handled really wonderfully; using cinematography and editing over the choice of unwanted CGI added to the film's gentle mood immensely.

I agree. I already have the Criterion, but for only £6.99, it was worth getting the Eureka for its unique extras. I also ordered Junebug (upgrade from "pre-owned" DVD) and More Than Honey (blind buy), both at £4.99.

Eureka has a short sale, ends 15 Oct, but their web site says:

The website that you're trying to reach is having technical difficulties and is currently unavailable.
We are aware of the issue and are working hard to fix it. Thank you for your patience.

I hope they extend the sale when they get the site to function.

Website is fixed and they have indeed extended the sale to Oct. 22.

Among the better picks, IMHO, The Man from Laramie and The Saga of Anatahan are both 9.99 GBP (dual-format too).

How come Shoah and Human Desire aren't available to order direct from the Eureka store as yet?

They won't be officially released before 4 to 5 weeks, which I guess is the explanation since Eureka's store doesn't open pre-orders straight from the announcement anymore (they stopped doing that some time ago, though it is seemingly on a case-by-case basis).
