Turns out I was confusing Inseminoid with the much worse Breeders.Adam Grikepelis wrote: ↑Mon May 28, 2018 9:22 amPrey sounds interesting, but I’ve seen Inseminoid, and if it was anything to go by, that experience felt like enough Norman J Warren for one lifetime.

Memories within Miss Aggie is highly recommended for fans of Gerard Damiano. Production values are not quite there and few outdoor/daylight shots look bad, but otherwise it's solid morbidly psychological backwoods porn romp with simple but effective premise.

Satan's Slave has been announced as the second of the four May 2019 titles, though I suspect many here will be getting the Indicator edition instead (including myself).

Re: Vinegar Syndrome
I haven't seen any specs beyond it being from a 4K resto, but the VS newsletter said it's part of the June pre-orders that you can get during the Halfway to Black Friday sale.

Re: Vinegar Syndrome
Halfway to Black Friday sale is on through Monday.
Secret releases are Nightbeast and Paul Bartel's Lust in the Dust.
They started a new limited line called Vinegar Syndrome Archive (after their brick and mortar store, The Archive). Inaugural titles are Savage Harbor a/k/a Death Feud and Evil Town.
Oh, and a couple of their older titles now have slipcovers, which you can get by themselves if you already have the disc.
A bit disappointed that Putney Swope isn't available for individual preorder yet (just in a bundle of June titles), but eh.

I share that disappointment especially as I'm not sure about The Passing or Night Owl. It could be a worse bundle tho.agnamaracs wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 8:12 amA bit disappointed that Putney Swope isn't available for individual preorder yet (just in a bundle of June titles), but eh.

Vinegar Syndrome also confirmed in their Halfway Package that they're releasing Hell Comes to Frogtown in August in a new 4K restoration, which I have to admit gives me a perverse thrill.
Don't know much about the other advance titles mentioned: Hellmaster, Play Dead, The Vineyard, Secta Siniestra and Unmasked Part 25.

Has anyone done the subscription before, and if so were you happy with it? I don’t think I have $830 to spare up front (cost to Canada all-in), but I like the idea.

I'm an annual subscriber including the porn since I didn't want to lose value. The porn isn't my thing so next time I'll go without. The rest are usually good effort releases but the films tend to have stupid plots so it's hard for me to envision rewatching them. That said, if you're into that type of B film then it's a good way to buy ahead at cheaper than ebay prices.Cronenfly wrote:Has anyone done the subscription before, and if so were you happy with it? Re: Vinegar Syndrome
Does anyone know how soon VS usually ships after a sale? They say they are aiming to have everything out by Friday June the 7th but I’m wondering whether it will take that long or not. Also wondering whether they send an email once they have shipped.

Re: Vinegar Syndrome
It can take them up to the next week indeed, I had stuff shipped on the next Friday.
They do send an email to inform you it's been shipped. Since I'm an international customer, it comes with a USPS tracking number.

Could anyone tell me if the "Eclipse Series 33: Up All Night with Robert Downey Sr." is worth getting just for Putney Swope instead of this VS release?Jean-Luc Garbo wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2019 9:42 amI share that disappointment especially as I'm not sure about The Passing or Night Owl. I've never seen the film but was wondering if the other films in the Criterion selection are worth it otherwise I'll just wait until Vinegar Syndrome release this one.

Re: Vinegar Syndrome
Putney Swope is the clear highlight, and the other films are far more ramshackle. You’re missing some clearly low-budget and largely incoherent “comedies” that haven’t aged very well. If that’s your thing, then grab the Eclipse set — but I expect most people would be fine with just Swope.

9 lives of a wet pussy is a classic piece of x-rated cinema.
never heard of let my puppets come but i checked out some screens and it looks like the kind of comedy take on porn ala sex in the comics

The Vineyard, Beyond Evil, Bloody Sect (Secta Siniestra), and Pledge Night are coming to Blu-ray this September. That last one might be my first VS purchase, if only based on the ridiculous cover art alone.

Mondo Digital reviews 9 Lives of a Wet Pussy (1976). Is this offered uncut for the first time ever on home video?

Re: Vinegar Syndrome
It was relatively well known that Abel Ferrara directed 9 Lives of a Wet Pussy. The trailer for the film appeared on the US DVD release of Driller Killer by Cult Epics in 2004, but I think this is the first time that the entire film has been commerically released since VHS. It really feels like the kind of film that Vinegar Syndrome was made for, as it blurs the line between the low budget exploitation and outright adult titles in an interesting way.
